Adult learning and tours

We love to share the heritage of Selly Manor Museum, our collection and Bournville. We do this in guided tours and talks for the general public as well as organised pre-booked groups.

Members of the public can access our Spotlight Tours of Selly Manor which explore our ancient buildings and collection. We also deliver regular Bournville Heritage Walking Tours. Details of dates, booking and further information can be found on our Events page.

If you organise visits for adults groups, such as a local history or U3A group, we can give an onsite talk and tour for up to 50 adults. We can also give a walking tour for about 45 minutes of Bournville village green. Our talks are on the history of Selly Manor, the development of Bournville village and the Laurence Cadbury Collection. We are happy to combine talks and tours to suit your requirements, please ask us. Prices range from £7 to £12 per head and can include tea and biscuits or cake.

We can also give offsite talks to groups at your meeting venue if you prefer, please contact us to discuss what we can do for your group. Our prices depend on the size of the group and the distance our staff need to travel, but typically we charge between £40 and £60 for an offsite talk. Our most popular talk The Cadbury Connection: Selly Manor Museum and Bournville last for about 1 hour 15 mins and can be followed by a Q+A session, with a member of our knowledgeable team.
