Halloween at the haunted manor...
We have had a fang-tastic Halloween here at Selly Manor! Our Spellbound event was magical, with everyone from Dracula to a pair of rainbow unicorns coming to visit us. Our visitors had a great time trick or treating (okay it was mostly treating) around the haunted manor house, meeting a whole host of fun and fantastical characters. We were particularly proud of our attic which was transformed into a bat haven and spider lair!
This October half term week we have been keeping very busy with our spooktacular Halloween activities during Ghostly Goings On. We have had hundreds of ghost hunters solving our paranormal trail, kids and the young at heart dressing up in our wicked costumes and amazing Halloween crafts being made by all. A special mention has to go to one little girl who made her stuffed rabbit an incredible teeny tiny bat hat and pumpkin lantern!
On Monday we will welcome schools back on site, starting the next half term with ninety children learning all about the Great Fire of London! But for now, it’s time to take down our Halloween decorations until next year, to de-cobweb our furniture and say goodbye to Miss N. Limbs, our resident skeleton.
It’s time to put up our feet and think forward to the next holiday…bring on Christmas!
